Books I Read Last Week
This first nations fantasy has been one of the books I've been wanting to read since last week. I enjoyed this transition into a fantasy world that was made believable and was described so vividly.
This book is on our state book award list and I've needed to read it to have a good way to book talk it. It parallels with The Barren Grounds too, so it was a busy week for fantasies for me. I really appreciated the short chapters in this book.
Books I Am Reading
A departure from children's literature on this one. I'm reading this for a book club with former co-working friends. I read it's prequel The Bean Trees a few weeks ago, so I'm ready for some light reading.
