Its Monday! What Are You Reading?!
Books I Read Last Week
Y'all!! The way Paulsen writes about his own childhood without ever identfying himself or exuding the sense of a rightly earned pity is astounding. I still find myself heartbroken for this boy, even knowing the successes that came his way. I read through a combination of audiobook and text. Both formats were good.
I confess I did not read most of the song lyrics. I did read the rest of the text and all photo captions. A nice look into Parton's past and her impact on country music and popular culture.
If you are looking for a picture book about seasons this should be added to your go-to list. A quick engaging read aloud. My kindergarten group and myself enjoyed this fun read.
What I'm Currently Reading
I just started this book on Sunday. I have seen it popping up on my twitter feed from multiple people. I'm excited to get into this story this week.
What I Will Read
I'm not sure what I'm going to be reading next. I've got a busy week ahead with trainings and three sections of an inquiry unit with 3rd grade.
